A must do in the city. The pianists are very good and passionate about their jobs. They really know how to engage the audience and make people comfortable singing. You'll be impressed by the quality of some singers, and still have a good time listening to the others.

My friends and I love coming here to unwind after work. The drinks are well crafted and generous on the booze and the option for piano backed karaoke a plus! Also the regulars all seem to be able to hold a tune and can actually sing! Just hope you aren't sitting in a section where the owner is serving,his people and service skills seriously lack. The bartenders and other servers are amazing.

Most revered piano bar anywhere. Open mike 9pm -1am, year round, except New year's Eve. Happy hour from 5:30 - 8:30 PM Monday and Friday, when you can sing in relaxed atmosphere, because later on more professional singers come. Most talented singers come on Monday when theaters where they are engaged are closed. Generally pleasant and nurturing experience.

Unique and fine bar with an awesome music vibe. SF’s theatre scene hangs out and sings at open mic night here on Monday. Must go for locals looking for something different.The pic below is an apricot brandy, watermelon, and creamsicle martini side by side. Winner was apricot

This place do not disappoint at all, if you love Martinis, ohhh hunnyyy this is the place to be! The lady server is a little annoying, though I kinda find it in a funny way. Still a 5 star!

I love Martunis. A little bit of old San Fransisco that reminds me of years gone by. Amazing singers by the piano bar. This is not a karaoke joint. Parking is miserable. Walk or take a ride share off your choice.

I really wanted to love this place but it was PACKED with cranky old people and 1 server for the entire back room. I did get to go up to sing right away and the piano player was so nice when I lost my place in the song

I literally can NOT say enough about how this bar is. Great staff! Strong drinks! Swanky Digs! Tons of cool regulars! Karaoke almost every night with different themes and some really fantastic artists stopping by regularly! So fun!

One of the last San Francisco bars, that encompasses the bay in two rooms, with a nightly open mic piano bar. The drinks are the best deal in town, at $11 for a ten oz martini.

This place has some of the strongest, but tastiest cocktails in the city. It’s perfect because you’ll probably want a little liquid courage before heading into the second room which includes the piano bar. I’ve never had a bad time here.

Drinks were great and the classic vibe was nice. Wasn't too find of being harassed about where we were standing and chairs as though I were still in the military was a downer though.

Where else can you find stellar talent singing along to songs you've probably never heard? Martuni's is an amazing martini bar and one-of-a-kind for sure. You'll find super sweet martinis in every flavor imaginable and if they don't have they'll make it up if you ask. Or if you prefer something a little less sweet you can bet this bar has everything you need to wet your lips. If the music isn't loud enough head on over to the back room and try to find a spot that isn't standing room only to enjoy the performances.Tip: Check it out on a Monday night - all of the students from the Opera school head over after class for a drink and some practice time.

Our friends invited us to this place tonight for a friends/holiday gathering. My first impression was great place & a hidden gem in SF. Drinks were great however patrons not so. I accidentally bumped into this guy who instantly made a big stink that I was drunk. The woman bouncer instantly decided that I had too much to drink & did not allow me to go back in. When I asked to talk with the manager, Skip didn’t even listen to what transpired & instantly made the decision that I was at the wrong. My friends supported me & we all left. I no longer will recommend this place to family & friends.

I had a great time at Martuni's by myself at the bar before the recent Madonna concert. When in Rome - you must have a Cosmopolitan when you're there. It's a double, they always serve them as doubles. The bartender was super cool and the music playing was great (before the piano bar started). The two men who sat next to me were also going to see Madge, so we carpooled to the concert together. We had a great time! Martuni's is that kind of place. I always recommend folks to visit Martuni's as a pre-game spot or just to chill at the piano bar. I also liked the diversity of the customers - queer, straight, brown, white, black - just nice to be in such a welcoming, cool, chill (yet funky) little place. A real San Francisco original!

I love this place! The cocktails are a bit pricey but I love the open mic nights they have with ACTUALLY GREAT SINGERS. If you suck at singing, don't ruin it for everyone.

Martunis is a San Francisco gem. Their martinis are delicious and they have a wide variety of flavors. It’s so much fun coming here Friday or Saturday night. The piano room is full of people singing along with the piano.

I'm not a cocktail person. I tried, but I never end up liking the cocktail I order. Martuni's made me reconsider Martini's again, I don't know what kind of magic the use to prepare them but they are delicious.

A great place. The drinks here are fun and very well made. The team is friendly and welcoming. Most of all, Martuni's provides a venue for local artists to perform. Support great local talent and have a great night out with a friendly crowd.
